Our Cottages

Wairunga Cottages is a rustic farm cottage accommodation experience that is well suited for large groups of friends or families wanting to get out of town and into the countryside, whilst still being a short drive to the amenities of Havelock North and Waimarama Beach.

The beds are made ready and waiting for you as all linen is provided – just bring your food and drinks!

THE SPACE.

The two adjacent cottages sleep up to 16 guests across six bedrooms, four with ensuites and two with separate bathrooms.

The main cottage has a large kitchen with Smeg oven and double fridge/freezer, massive dining table and lounge with an outside entertaining area including large table and a Mexican Fire Pot. Other delights include a dance floor in the native bush with sound system and swimming pool access.

GUEST ACCESS.

Over summer you are welcome to swim in our pool, play tennis on a grass court, dance in the bush grotto (BYOD), or walk thru our garden and enjoy the specular view of Bare Island and the Pacific Ocean.

The birdlife here is prolific and includes Kereru, Tui, Rifleman, Robin, Bellbird and Fantails.

Other things to do off the farm include walking in Mohi Bush, visiting the Maraetotara Waterfall down the road, or go to the beautiful Waimarama or Ocean Beach to swim or surf. Waimarama has the added bonus of a store with ice creams, coffee, alcohol and fabulous take-aways. On a hot summer evening you could eat them on the beach!

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE.

We welcome well behaved under control pets with responsible owners.
Please note there is a charge of $10 per dog per night.
